Building our future, preserving our legacy

About the Project

The Always Be initiative is a comprehensive renovation program for all academic, office and common spaces within the main building that was constructed in 1959-1960. Much work has been done over the last five years in preparation for this initiative, including:

  • Comprehensive Master Facilities Plan with SHP (Local architectural firm specializing in education and complex renovation)
  • Philanthropic study
  • Internal and external studies of key constituents
  • Approval by the La Salle Board of Limited Jurisdiction
  • Approval by the Archdiocese of Cincinnati

Phases 1 & 2 of the renovation includes:

  • Fire suppression
  • Abatement of older floors and ceilings
  • Installing new windows
  • Upgrading security technology
  • Conditioned air in all academic and office spaces
  • Upgrading and relocating utilities including water, gas and electric
  • Refinishing all academic, office and common spaces
    (floors 1, 2 and 3)
  • Relocating art room out of the basement to provide for natural light
  • Flipping the front of the school, facing North Bend Road, to the back of the school
  • Shifting administrative offices to the first floor providing for efficiencies with leadership teams and added security for students

Total Cost: $8,500,000
